On the 13th of August 1947, at 11:55pm, people heared the radio calling “this is All India reporting wait for our next announcement” and after 15 minutes gap on 14th of August 1947, at 12:05 am they heared it calling out “this is Radio Pakistan reporting”,
“AAPKO PAKISTAN MUBARAK HO”
After listening to these words a layer of happiness start flowing among muslims and the tears comes out of their eyes in a pearl form but these tears are not because of the hardship they suffered, or not because of the atrocities they faced during their struggle but these tears were due to the immense happiness they feel after achieving their goal, after being recognized as an “Independent State”. Creation of Pakistan was such a big achievement for them that they had forgotten their all sorrows and had started enjoying their first night of freedom. No worldy treasure had a capability to come against the happiness of freedom.
Above all, the month in which Pakistan appeared in the world map with its own independent identity was the blessed month of Ramzan and on the 27th of Ramzan ALLAH bestowed muslims with Pakistan as a precious gift.
The foundation of Pakistan was based on the idea of “Two Nation theory”. The muslims of the subcontinent had realised the need of the creation of an independent state where they were able to breath freely. They had an understanding that the Muslims and Hindhus were two different nation and had no single thing in commom from their living standards to their traditions.
So to make Iqbal dream a reality, muslims had started their struggle under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and worked all day and night to find a place where they were able to spend their life in accordance with the teachings of Islam and finally they reached their destination in the form of beautiful Pakistan.And then every muslim had said proudly that “I am Pakistani”.
Today when any child born in Pakistan, he/she does not reqired to make an effort to gain their identity because they are very fortune as they born in an independent country with their own identity as a Pakistani. When I called myself as a patriotic Pakistani, I feel an immense happiness that how beautiful this feeling is that you are a citizen of an independent country. To me the word independence means without restrictions. You have a place where you are able to follow your reiligion and traditions freely without any fear or boundary.
The whole thing is not ended there. But now there is a huge responsibility on us to make Pakistan the most successful country in the world and lead it to that height whose dream Iqbal had seen.
As Iqbal said; ” Momin’s hand is Allah’s hand, dominant & creator of wok, trouble shooter, go getter”
